Education is one of the most appropriate ways to achieve cultural, social, economic and political development. In their projects, educational institutions should pay attention to this important aspect of environmental protection. But unfortunately the education of elementary and preschool students has not been good in the field of environment. On the other hand, academics can play an important role in educating students about the environment. The presence of environmental students can be the driving force behind university environmental education. In addition to educating students, educating teachers and government officials about the importance of respecting environmental principles and their role in sustainable development can be one of the goals facing green universities. The Environmental Education Comprehensive Plan was implemented by the Union of Iranian Environmental Student Scientific Associations in collaboration with the Western Asian Development Institute and several other organizations in 2018 and 2019 with the aim of comprehensive environmental education in Iran. The first phase of environmental education master plan with implementation of empowerment workshops for environmental educators in 12 provinces including Alborz, Tehran, Isfahan, Golestan, Gilan, Yazd, Zanjan, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Hamadan, Khorasan Razavi and Chaharmahal. Bakhtiari was held. The project included 24 workshops for a total of 200 environmental educators. In the second phase of the project and in the second half of the year 2019, instructors will enter schools in these 12 provinces to teach environmental issues.
