Brief Description: This event was held at the University of Tehran with the participation of more than 50 students in the fields of desert, natural resources and environment. This scientific exam was organized on the occasion of World Day to Combat Desertification with the aim of focusing on the issue of desert and desertification. At this scientific event, participants answered 60 questions in four areas of desert, ecology, hydrology, and climatology within 60 minutes. One of the highlights of this event was the presence of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students from different disciplines and universities. It was the first event of this kind in the country, with plans to continue running the scientific marathon in the coming years, given the widespread acceptance of the event.
