he holds a PhD from the University of Tehran, Iran and a guest scholar at University of California, Davis.  She is very into some topics like medicinal and aromatic plants, plant ecology, and rangeland management. Beyond her academic interests, she is eager to learn more from the perspective of people working in private sectors, government agencies or NGOs in the subject of empowering rural communities focusing on agriculture. Maryam has been an associate lecturer on natural resources engineering since 2010. Moreover, she has also been engaged with sustainable rural management projects.
